This research shows that ecologically designed solar facilities can enhance grassland bird diversity compared to conventional agricultural fields. Acoustic monitoring revealed higher species richness and more stable bird communities at ecovoltaic sites. The authors conclude that ecovoltaic designs can support avian conservation while producing renewable energy.
