October 26, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm CDT

The Electric Power Research Institute recently completed a study evaluating barriers and incentives within the electric utility industry for voluntary species conservation under the U.S. Endangered Species Act. The authors will present their findings and recommendations, with a special focus on common concerns and opportunities across the energy, transportation, and agriculture sectors. Following this presentation will be a panel discussion with representatives from all three sectors and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to launch a broader conversation about joint, multi-sector voluntary conservation strategies for at-risk and listed species.

Presenters:
Christian Newman, Electric Power Research Institute
Jake Li, Environmental Policy Innovation Center
Dan Buford, Federal Highway Administration
