This event is located at 1100 W South St, Belle Plaine MN 56011. This event is designed for conservation professionals who are considering incorporating remote sensing into their monitoring protocols, though all are welcome.
MJV will demonstrate various drone models and discuss how monitoring via remote sensing is being used on various pollinator habitat projects, especially in prairies and government conservation programs. We will discuss how this technology could be incorporated into existing efforts (e.g., with in-field pollinator surveys).
Participants are encouraged to bring their own drones to demonstrate their technology and practice with the flight parameters and platforms used by MJV. Flights will occur over agricultural fields and nearby open spaces, and future training preferences and opportunities will be discussed.
