This event is located at a US Solar site managed by Natural Resource Services. This event is designed for the energy and transporation right-of-way sector, though all are welcome. Address will be shared directly with registrants.
MJV will demonstrate various drone models and discuss how monitoring via remote sensing is being used on various pollinator habitat projects, especially along rights-of-way. We will discuss how this technology could be incorporated into existing efforts (e.g., during transmission line inspections), and how to conduct surveys to align with the Nationwide Monarch Candidate Conservation Agreement with Assurances (CCAA). Flights will occur over solar panels and nearby fields, and future training preferences and opportunities will be discussed.
Participants are required to wear long pants and close-toed shoes for safety.
