gROWing Chicago Habitat

The meeting will be held on Thursday, October 29 from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM CST. Light morning refreshments and lunch will be served.

This meeting will feature updates from UIC, gROWing Chicago Habitat partners, and Shirley Heinze Land Trust and Save the Dunes. These updates will be followed by habitat ‘Help Desks’, which will focus on connecting partners with researchers who are performing habitat research in Chicago and the Calumet region.

The featured speaker for this meeting is Dr. Leo Chan Gaskins. He will be highlighting part of his research which focuses on methods for creating hemi-marsh conditions by mimicking muskrat structures and managing wetlands to facilitate bird and overall biodiversity.

Registration cost is $15.
