March Science Seminar: Working with Plants to Heal and Protect Lake Superior Shorelines
March 24, 2025
12:00-1:00PM CST
Some of Lake Superior’s shorelines are experiencing erosion due to storms and changing water levels, but humans have an opportunity to help. A new report, Ganawenindiwag (which means “they take care of each other” in Ojibwemowin), is designed to help land owners, resource managers, and anyone who interacts with the lake’s shorelines make informed plant selections to help support these vulnerable coastal environments, while also supporting treaty rights and reimagining our relationship with plants.
