MJV: Out West: Western Monarch Conservation Efforts – Overwintering Habitat
Join Emma Pelton, Senior Conservation Biologist with the Xerces Society, for this webinar that will discuss updates on overwintering habitat, conservation status, an explanation of habitat selection by micro-climates, grove management, and actions being taken to implement the Western Monarch Conservation Plan. This webinar is part of a 3-part series hosted by the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agency\’s Western Monarch Working Group and Monarch Joint Venture. This series is aimed at providing a path for state-level implementation of strategies in the 2019 Western Monarch Conservation Plan (WMCP) in place of our annual conference with sectors and stakeholders, to be followed with an in-person meeting in 2021. Each webinar will be held on the third Thursday of the month for June, July, and August, from 10:00-11:30 am PDT. This series is public and all are welcomed to register and attend.
