Researchers monitored bat activity at solar sites designed with native vegetation to analyze bat foraging activity in comparison to nearby agricultural fields early in the season. Species-specific responses varied. The study suggests ecovoltaic designs may provide seasonal habitat for bats, warranting further investigation into prey availability and site design.
