This paper explores the potential for solar farms to incorporate pollinator-friendly habitats as a strategy to improve biodiversity on solar development. The authors review ecological studies and legislative efforts, concluding that planting native, perennial flowering vegetation can benefit native wild bees and honeybees. It also recommends best practices and further research to support measurable conservation outcomes.
