REWI is happy to announce the Southeast Solar Power and Wildlife/Natural Resources Workshop. This is a REWI-planned event hosted by Southern Company at the Georgia Power Headquarters in Atlanta, GA, on June 12-13, 2024.   Â
The workshop will explore the opportunities and challenges for build-out while conserving wildlife in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.  Â

Workshop Objectives  Â
- Understanding utility-scale solar development and future projections in the Southeastern states and navigating the complexities and potential avenues for growth  Â
- Exploring the scientific intricacies of large utility-scale solar energy and wildlife  Â
- Analyzing the spectrum of federal, state, and local solar development laws, covering permitting, risk evaluation, and economic perspectives  Â
- Creating a platform for problem-solving and fostering improved collaboration among stakeholders Â
