The Pillars of Great Pollinator Habitat Design and Management

March 14, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am CDT

Join PARM and the Sand County Foundation’s first webinar collaboration!

Many farms have field edges or underperforming areas that could be seeded to native grasses and wildflowers to benefit bees and butterflies. This presentation will cover the most important considerations to how a pollinator habitat project should be designed, planted and managed. Learn how great habitat results can be easily achieved with a little planning and consideration on the front-end of the project.

You will hear from Pete Berthelsen, Pete serves as partnership director for The Bee & Butterfly Habitat Fund and provides consulting services for wildlife and pollinator habitat needs through Conservation Blueprint, LLC. Pete previously spent 26 years with Pheasants Forever, most recently as director for habitat projects. He has also worked with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in North Dakota, Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, and the U.S. Forest Service in Michigan. He received his B.S. from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and his M.S. from Texas Tech University in wildlife science.
